Fast Foward problems

I've been using DivX 2.0 player, and for many DIVX movies that I've downloaded (Gladiator being the latest) I can't fast foward or jump to a diff point in the movie. If I try, it will just start the movie over again.

What can I do to fix this problem?

1. Try another player
2. If the avi has no keyframes (well, only one) than no player will ever FF on it. You will need to re-encode the movie. Try to load it in VirtualDub to see if this is the case (it will tell you right away).
