    Problem with avi quality

    Hi everybody,

I ve been trying to create an avi file from a DVD movie using Gordian Knot.
I follow the directions of a Greek Magazine which I can say are wuite detailed.

The first problem that I encountered was that I could not get the Compressibility check
results.... At the Encoder Tab it shows that it finishes the first pass but after that
it cant open the Log File.

My second and most important problem is that I cant get a decent video quality. Although
the movie is too short (An episode from Friends tv series - duration 21 min)
i finally get a 4MB avi file.I have previously chosen the Total Size (in Bitrate tab)
to be 650 MB. My intention was to have one episode that can exactly fit in
one CD......normally that would give me a nearly perfect quality. What I get instead
is an avi movie with a huge pixel size.

Is there a solution to my problem ?

    Thanks

      AVI log file........

      Hey there,

Attached you can find the log file...... at least the only file created that contains some information about the process.

The aVI file I created was a 55 MB size, chapter of Star Wars, which eventually was sized down to 6.98MB.

I am still kind of confused about the process.

      Thanks in advance.
