TmpgEnc Divx to VCD problem!

I tried to convert different Divx movies to VCD and the TmpgEnc program encoded the wrong film and too short.

Well the original film was Angel Eyes with JLO (710 MB) and the program returned a short sequence of Matrix which lasted only a few seconds!

If I view the film with the Divx player it works as it is supposed to!

How is this prossible and what do i have to do to get the right conversion done?

Can anyone help me?

No matter what file you specify in the TMPGenc wizard (which i assume you are using) make sure that at the bottom two slots near the bottom of tmpgenc (video source and audio source) there is the correct movie name.

i did have a look at these two lines and found out that they contain the right file! actually i have no idea at all how it is possible, that this problem occurs!

i'd be very glad if someone could help me out with this problem. for some reason or another i just dont seem able to convert divx to vcd!

well if some one knows another program instead of tmpgenc dont hesitate to tell me! even tough i'd prefere to do the conversions with tmpgenc because apparently it gives good results!

Alternative

If you wanted another program alternative that works like an all-in-one program, you can use DVD2SVCD to convert your avi file to SVCD or VCD format. I would recommend SVCD since it is higher in quality, and that is what this site is all about eh well... yeah... you can use this program, and if you don't know what everything is about that you can use this guide http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/ar.../dvd2svcd.html and for your MISC tab, put avi as your input file type.

this should work:

when u follow the wizard in TMPGEnc, in the other settings, click on the button, click on advanced and on source range, now, move to the start of the movie, hit start, move to the end of the movie and hit end, then start encoding.

does it work now?
