Framerate and best settings to capture video

    Hi all

I have a minor problem with framerates when capturing using VirtualDub. when encoding i seem to drop around 3000 frames when encoding a film of around 2 hours length. I use a frame rate of 25.000. Initially i use to loose much more frames as VirtualDub use to default to 25.65* fps.
Although the majority of the encoded video looks fine, you get annoying "glitches" every few seconds where the picture suddenly skips.

Anyone know how i can solve this as i want to try and create a PAL standard video. I use DivX Pro 5 to encode using a bitrate of around 800.

Also can someone give me an idea of what DivX 5 bitrate/options and MP3 bitrate to use to get an optimal video file that will fit on a 700mb CD (assuming the movie is about 2 hours long)

    systems spec:
    Athlon 900Mhz
    128K RAM
    WinTV Go capture card
    40GB HD

    Thanks
Working...
