How do you image the SVCD? I think VCDEASY would automatically convert your mpeg-2 file into the svcd structure.

Does VCDEASY succesfully burn your svcd? Are you confronted with an error, if so post it here.

Finally, if you have succesfully burned the SVCD with VCDEASY---does it play on your PC? Perhaps your standalone dvd player does not support the svcd format, or is finicky about media. You might want to read user comments about it on vcdhelp.com

      ERROR WITH DIVX TO MPEG

      Hello,

I would like to watch my divx files on my DVD set (panasaonic LV50) so i catch some news on the net. I follow the instructions but i wonder when after converting my divx files into Mpeg (with TEMPenc Plus) and then making an "image" of s-vcd with VCD Easy, i need to plug in my "graveur "(plexwriter). At this step, VCD Easy, doesn't recognize it. Is it normal ? may i only need to make a copy of the final one (after VCD Easy has work) ? and if yes, Which file does a need to copy on a CD RW so that i can watch it on my DVD set ?

Sorry for my english but it's so poor !
Thanks for your help and i hope it's clear because for me, i'm sure i miss something !!

Check out the vcdeasy website...You may need to upgrade your aspi layer.

          DIVX TO DVD

          Hello,

Following the previous messages, i wonder, at contrario, if all the operation succeed (with TMPGEnc Plus + VCDEasy), the file i will be able to watch on my dvd set, will be transform in which kind on my computer(*.mpg, *.???).
Because after doing TMPGEnc plus and create an image SVCD with VCD Easy, what i have (seems to be what i'm trying to convert) is : /EHMINSTALL/DATA = FICHIER TOU (??). I'm sure it's not my files but i would like to know where and under which extension it could be store when it succeed ?
          Thanks for your help

I think instead of VCDEASY you might want to give NERO a try...www.ahead.de (it is not freeware but I think a trial version is available).

Simply burn the mpg you created with TMPGEnc in NERO as an "SVCD" disc.

TMPGEnc would produce a *.mpg file, you would load it in NERO and simply burn it.

Powerdvd cannot be directly used for this purpose, as it is only a player (although I believe TMPGEnc employs the powerdvd mpeg-2 filters).

As for easy cd creator, I do not believe it is capable of producing SVCD's. You may want to check your product documentation to see if it can create svcd's.

Does the *.mpg file contain audio? If so, there is no need to the *.wav file
