Which pretty much reinforces my previous statement. The quality control will be left entirely in your hands. It is more fun that way and you gain more experience on video encoding.

By the way - ViTE group has release "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers *DVDScr* *XViD* " - the movie is in length of 3 hours (90 minutes to each CD=2 CDs) and they encoded the movie with:
Xvid - 2Pass 970kbits
Audio - 135kbps VBR,48kHz
I Have seen the movie and the quality is not very good !
I have seen a lot of movies that was encoded like this and I think they could do a better job.
