XviD encoding with AC3 sound

NO i have played both the ac3 and the XviD video in BSPlayer and can fast forward and rewind them both seperatly without problems.
I dont think it s problem with either of the components as if i play the end result from start to finish i get full synched AC3 sound which is excellent, but as soon as i fast forward, the synch goes out of the window.
Strangely enough when i rewind the sound disapears completely but the video still continues to play.
Any other ideas??Comment

1) As an experiment, try creating the same video (including .AC3 audio) using the DivX v.3.11alpha codec instead of Xvid - and post (here) if it exhibits the same problem regarding fast forwarding
2) Does the downloaded James Bond movie exhibit the same problem?Comment

I will try encoding partially as the film that i am doing is gladiator and that took me around 17hours in total.
The problem is not apparent on any other playback of any other DVD DivX or XviD file that i have.......
I am trying to use DVDx as that says that it can do XviD and i am wresteling with the AC3 setting, so fingers cross.....
If you come across anything please let me know, thanks

I tried my hand at encoding ac3 sound into an XVid last night and when I muxed them together I got no sound. I have the ac3 codec installed because it works fine on my Divx files. Is there a different ac3 codec needed for XVid or what? But I've tried it exactly as you do with Divx files using VDub to mux them together and it just doesn't work. I kind of like the quality of XVid a little better than Divx and would like this to work. What am I doing wrong?Comment

Nevermind. I found out it was doing the same thing with my DIVX movies too and it turns out that Nimo uninstalled the ac3 patch I had when I uninstalled the Nimo codecs.Comment
