    Xvid to DVD using TmpEnc

In TmpEnc When i increase Directshow to +1/2 i loose the 3:2 pulldown when playback.
Most movies i have off the net are 23.976 and i need to convert them to 29.97 (mpeg) for DVD
    Please can someone help
    Why has this happened:

Well Figured it out now. Ran the X-vid through Virtual Dub ,Full proccessing mode,Compressed divx4 ,saved to AVI.
Then it ran perfect through TmpEnc and with no errors using the default VFAPI plugin settings.

Seems most problems with the Xivids are fixed this way!!!!!!

    I have a similar problem:

I'm using TMPGEnc to encode an xvid format movie. The properties of the vid are as follows: 640 X 336, 23.976 fps, decompressor = Xvid MPEG-4 codec. These are the properties reported by virtuadub, there are others, if needed.

When I try to convert to mpg I don't get an audio output and I get the following error:

Write error occured at address 00401C9f of module 'tmpgenc.exe' with 022C0104

I have installed the xvid codec, not sure what I need to do to configure tmpgenc. I'm also using the tooLAME as my audio encoder.

    Any help would be appreciated...

I also have experienced these strange abends.
I read somewhere that going into environment/vfapi plugin
and de-selecting avi2(opendml) the problems are resolved.

      What is avi2(opendml) anyway?
