MP3 is messed up in Virtual Dub!!

    Hi,

I just installed DirectX 9.0 and some WAV-to-MP3 conversion softwares (I quickly uninstalled them after using up all the 15-Days or usage limits).

Now when I go to Virtual Dub 1.51 (the latest one), all the MP3 codec available for encoding are only from 8KHz to 24KHz. 44.1KHz and 48KHz options are gone!!!!

I updated my Winamp, Ogg, VobSub, and FFDshow but the problem is still unresolved.

On a side note, one of my divx movie now can't play. It shows an error saying:

"ClassFactory cannot supply requested class (Error=80040111)"

Is that because of DirectX9 or different factor ?

Download and install the Radium (Fraunhoefer hack) .MP3 codec.
    Open your Control Panel
Select "Multimedia" (Windows XP uses a different name - "Sound and Audio", I believe)
    Click on "Audio codecs"
Turn off (or delete) ALL MPEG Layer 3 codecs EXCEPT the one whose name includes the word "Professional"
    Reboot
