    DVD to DivX Conversion

    Hi Everyone,

Does anybody knows what software I should use to convert a 2h long DVd to DivX, but to keep the MB's less than 700MB and still to keep the DVD quality.

What resolution should I put into the converter?

I looked on kazaa for some of the DivX movies which were over 2h long but were still less than 700MB.

I use that baby-easy converting tool "supper dvd ripper" which gives me 850MB for a 2h long movie with 720x480 resolution.

Are you ripping dvd's. Then, what tools are you using to meet the criteria above.

    Thanks

    Get GordianKnot (latest 0.27)
It will get filesize within a few kbs.
option for DivX 5.02 and DivX 3.11a only.
    Best there is IMHO.
Might take a bit of getting used to.

If you TRULY mean DVD quality, I'd suggest that yours is wishful thinking...

the only way it would even look close to DVD quality is if you didn't make it fullscreen. Then what's the use

Well all right, forget about the quality, but at least for a file to be less than 700MB.
