    ?? DivX Logo Mystery ??"

I've noticed that when playing a DivX encoded with the free version of 5.03 in Media Player 9 a "DivX" logo fades in and out at the beginning of the file. This doesn't happen when playing the file with the DivX Player but what's getting me is when the file's played with Media Player the logo appears UNDERNEATH my own logo that I used VirtualDubMod to put in.

Is this hard coded into the encoded DivX file, because I can't see how the codec/decodec would know how to display something under a part of the video. Does this only effect files encoded with the free version?

    I'm bemused.

In the Divx 5.03 properties (accesible in BSPLAYER or WMP 6.4) you can choose to disable the "logo" feature.

Alot of times that does not disable it by doing it from the DIVX configuration. The sure fire way to get those settings to stick is to going into mediaplayer2, loading the video file, go into properties and change it there. When you close the mediaplayer2 those settings will stick.
