Make sure you are using the VCD template in TMPGEnc.

Secondly, the output size of the mpeg-1/vcd file depends on the duration of the input file.

Are you sure you aren't encoding to svcd/mpeg-2?

your audio stream for those DivX movies are more than likely VBR (Variable Bitrate) and VCD uses CBR.

For VCDs, the play length is what you should be concerned with. The filsize is not relevant when burning to VCDs.

How does this difference affect the final MPEG filesize, may I ask?

In this case, the only posible problem a VBR audio stream poses would be TMPGEnc complaining about it and not working properly. I doubt very much the filesize would be affected at an appreciable level.

When TMPGEnc encodes lets say a VCD with a VBR stream it comes out VERY large. Like he first stated that is why I brought it up. It just kinda goes bat s#it

GSpot tells me the duration is 109m 28s but in TMPGenc it says the movie is 275m 8s ???
