    DivX 5.05 and MV file

I activated the MV file in the settings of the DivX 5.05 codec with the Multipass/nth option and the original multipass, but I don't know for which reason, it doesn't create the file anyway, unlike the 5.02 version... If anybody has answer about this...
    I'm using Windows xp pro sp1, P4 2.53@2.9GHz.
    Thanks to all.

Waiting and looking for an answer about this problem, I asked directly to DIVX.COM.
Here's the answer I got from the DIVX.COM FORUM:

The MV file has been disabled in version 5.05 because a quality issue was discovered during the beta testing phase.

This is not a bug, but because of the way multipass encoding works the motion vectors change slightly after each pass. If the codec is forced to use fixed MV's determined on the first pass then after each multipass the quality of the video gets more and more degraded.

For now, although the 2nd or nth passes will take longer to encode, the result is that your video quality should be higher.
