    wmv codec for anti-framefreeze?

I have a WMV (Windows Media Audio/Video) clip and there's a slight problem with it. Everytime I play it, it sometimes it freezes for a couple of seconds out of nowhere. I have to fast forward the clip for it to play smoothly, but then it ends up freezing again.

Are there any specific WMV codecs to stop the frames from freezing and just play smoothly? Thanks.

could be corrupted frames in the video file itself.

Try to encode it to a different format (like MPEG/uncompressed AVI) and re encode to WMV.

I dont think a tool exists (unless im wrong) to encode WMV to format X.
