Has anyone used avimux to put in multiple audio tracks? I got it to work with a small video last night whereI added two random mp3's to it, but this morning I couldn't get it to work with the movie I'm workin on. I was thinking about it, maybe avimux doesn't like VBR (what my audio is recorded in) Perhaps I should convert the two audio files to wav and then to a constant bitrate mp3?

avi is a too old container, give a try to Ogg Media .ogm or Matroska .mkv and do ogg vorbis instead of mp3.
ogg vorbis: http://www.vorbis.com
vorbis for directshow: http://tobias.everwicked.com
virtualdubmod: http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net
oggmux: http://koepi.roeder.goe.net/oggmux.html

vitual dub mod is another program but it is based on virtual dub
it depends on what version of Virtualdub MOD you run.
in my version i just have a second audio dropdown menue
that allows me to add a second audiosteram from wav mp3 cbr or ac3 while the first audiostream and the videostream is simply set to direct stream copy.
the new version of virtualdub Mod has a dropdown menue called stream that lets you ad and alter audiostreams.... haven´t checked that yet but postings say it works great.
just do a google search to download it because it is not on this site!!Comment
