Yes - recorded with a sony video cam onto DVD-R disk. DVD runs with media player but I can't cut the chapter or segments. We recorded 13 separate presentations (about 2-3 minutes each). Wanted to cut each place in PowerPoint or as straming video for call in. Format won't work, need to covert to AVI or MPEG. Sorry for the confusion -great with most user interface by not DVD to AVI or MPEG conversion.Comment

(Note: No matter which method that I've described that you choose, the first thing you have to do is copy the DVD to your hard drive)
1) The two programs I suggested will create MPEG2 files (Since you'll be cutting clips from .VOBs on a DVD, which are themselves MPEG2-format files)
2) If you prefer to create .AVI files, I'd suggest that the simplest way is to first use MPEG Mediator to create one continuous .AVI (Load .VOBs in sequential order) - and then use VirtualDub to split and save the separate clips you desireComment
