Extracting Audio Question.

I use TMPGenc to encode, but I like to extract the audio using virtual dub. I was wondering if there is anyway to extract audio from video without the proper video codecs. With Xvid stuff for example, I use ffdshow to view them so I don't have a codec installed and virtual dub doesn't like that. How do you guys convert your audio? Anyone let TMPGenc do it?

Nothing wrong with installing the XviD codec so VD can open it ...
