    codec package

which codec package do most users recomend?

i used to use the tsunami but i kept getting the problem of green screens when watching xvid movies
so i switched to k-lite codec package and no more green screen problems.

is there a site or a guide that lists all the packaged codecs and list its pros and cons ?

which would be better for regular movie watching and editing use?

    k-lite
    tsunami
    nimo

    Thanks

    packs suck

neither codecs pack is good.. they all suck and are completely unstable...
just get the software one at a time and you´ll never have problems again...

for playing video you should get ffdshow codec wich can decode divx, mpg4, xvid and some other formats...
for playing audio get oggdshow and ac3filter (you obviously already have an mp3 decoder filter..)

for editing: smartripper (to rip dvd´s), dvd2avi and bfapi reader codec (to connect the VOB´s to an avi editor), virtualdub (to finally edit your movie, you can also use virtualdub_ac3 if you like to put dolby digital in your video..)
