    Mpeg 2 divx

    I need help to convert an mpeg 2 divx.
    I have used virtual dub one time before and it was a rather long time ago... and now when I was going to look at nickys guides it was all gone.
    and don't remember which properties I should have have if it should be full processing and stuff like that...
    can someone plz help me...

    As long as it's a conventional MPEG1 file, VirtualDub will readily accept the file for input. Then, under the "Video" dropdown menu, (should already be set to "Full Processing Mode" by default click on "Compression" and select the codec you wish to use. Under "Audio", change the setting to "Full Processing Mode" and set the "Conversion" (if necessary) and "Compression" (probably to MP3).

      It seems to work fine... I'm working on a movie right now... thx

      but If I want to get it sharper what filter do I use?

        Shouldn't a divx movie be smaller than a mpeg movie?
        beacuse Iäve just finshed one of and it became bigger with worse picture and sound...=(
        why is this?

          That would depend upon which audio and video codecs you used and at which settings...

            I used divx video and mp3 (MPEG layer3) to the audio...
            I didnät no which format I should use so I choosed 40kbit/s 16000hz stereo. I remeber reasing on nickys guides sometime what format you should use... but I don't remember
