Good DVD to AVI conversion program?

Any suggestions for a good DVD VOB/IFO file to AVI convertor? DIVX and MP3 compression is favorable but not necessary: I have virtual dub so I can do that later. However, I need something that wont make the Audio and Video streams drift away. For example, after using both FlaskMpeg AND Ripitall, about 15 or so minutes into almost all movies I encode it starts video and audio startnot being synchronized. (Or if anyone can tell me how to fix this instead of getting a new program....)

When using Flask, select Uncompressed PCM 48,000 audio. You can convert it to MP3 (or whatever your heart desires - and you've installed codecs for) later under VirtualDub.
