Problem with a sillent mp2 file

the problem i had was that when demuxed the avi file , it was an mp3 file , not ac3... so i had to convert it to ac3 with besweet then fix it with ac3fix. Then when loading the ac3 and m2v file into tmpgenc dvd author it gave me the error msg i pasted above::
*Cannot use 32000 Hz audio sampling rate for a standard DVD.

Cannot use 32000 Hz audio sampling rate for a standard DVD.
For a standard DVD you can only use the following sampling rates:

48000Hz or 96000Hz

which drove me nuts.. :?

In VDM, use the "Save as WAV" feature, and then use BeSweet or HeadAC3he to convert to mp2.

ok just tried that , got the following error message when loading in tmpgenc dvd author:


Illegal audio format.

Illegal audio format.
For a standard DVD you can only use the following audio formats:

Dolby Digital (AC-3), MPEG-1 Audio Layer-2, or Linear PCM.

Use the "Regular" TMPGENc" to "Multiplex" your m2v and mp2 together to form an mpeg (1 or 2) file. Then import into DVD Author.

i tried that a long time ago... the whole problem is that my mp2 is sillent

What about the WAV you converted to mp2 with BeSweet"? Was that one silent as well?
