    decompression

i'm looking to include a segment of video encoded in divx in a home made movie of mine. in an effort to save harddrive space, i encoded with with divx and deleted the origional. adobe premiere willl not read the divx encoded file so i was looking to de-encode the movie. is this possible? i've looked all over and i either missed it or it isnt possible. any help will be greatly appreciated.

i hope this was the right forum to post to

    Convert Divx to mpeg easily

I have the Divx 5.11 codec installed.
Hero Video Convert v1.5 easily and quickly converts a Divx video
    to mpeg video.

    Happy to help out

By the term "de-encode" you mean "Convert", then yes it can be done. Is it your desire to convert from Divx to mpeg format?

Use "TMPGEnc" or "TMPGEncPlus" to convert your DivX-compressed .AVI to MPEg format (either MPEG1 or MPEG2)
