Hmm .Mpeg to .Avi Convertions

Hi I want to convert an mpeg movie to avi however the audio codecs i use wont let me: Error initializing audio stream compression: The requested conversion is not possible. I installed the: DivX_311alpha Codec as this was reccomended.

Does anyone have a solution to my problem? Please.

More specific details would be beneficial:

1) Is your source video MPEG1, MPEG1-Video CD, MPEG2, MPEG2-Video CD, or .VOB (from a DVD)?

2) What software are you using to try to convert the file?

my source is an mpeg file and the sofware im using is Virtualdub

EASY!

Download the radium MP3 codec and install it, it usually works!

Load the file into VirtualDub. Under "File", select "File Information".

I didn't set it to the bicbuic (?) filter cause I was cropping!
