    Videos upside down

I’ am very confused, what happens.
I got a DiVx and want to convert it to an VCD, normally I use TMPGEnc to encode it and Nero to burn.
It is also possible to do the whole procedure in NERO (5.5.6.4) only. Everything goes well and after the whole conversion process NERO burns a good quality VCD; good sound and a very good quality screen, but it is UPSIDE-DOWN when I play it on my DVD-player.
The conversion and burn procedure is a future in NERO so I like to use it. The way I did it before was also a good one, but now you can do it in only ONE program, which I like a little bit more ( I can give my PC some more Night shifts )
In the settings from NERO I can't find anything specific to turnaround the screen, who has the solution for this very strange problem.

Does it work on the PC? Play the file back on your PC without burning it. Then if it plays fine, try burning it again.

I have heard about TMPGENC making videos go upside down in WINDOWS XP but that is solved by using the compatability mode.

    Hope this helps

      Techno Tx but;
On the PC the file is as aspected also upside down. Who needs movies upside down, maybe Ahead (Nero) knows, I don't.
So what do I do wrong ...... when Ahead makes good software.
      Is it my XP ????

Change the ratio to 1:1 (if u r not playing it on a standalone DVD player) or 4:3

        Hope it works!

            change it to 4:3 (4:3:625)

This should work, I am sure cause I tried it once!

            Good luck

              STOP !!!!
I know how to work with TMPGEnc but I'd like to encode from DIVX to VCD AND burn the VCD in NERO only.

                SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                What I meant was:

DIVX to VCD (or SVCD) and change the aspect ratio to 4:3:625 (or 525 if PAL)

                Then encode

                then burn with Nero

                This should work!

                Good luck

Okay I understand but I thought you want to give me some education in TMPGEnc.
What I want is get DIVX put it in NERO and get a VCD out of my CD-writer after he ready and it is possible, the only thing that goes wrong is the upside down part. A good solution I got from my 8 years old daughter was to turn the TV upside down.

I know Techno Tx anyway, but I saw that your solution went the wrong way. So we start all over again with the question: how do I get a VCD not turn around with NERO ?

OH BOY, THIS IS GONNA BE A LOOOOOOOOOOONG NIGHT!

                        I am understanding that:

when u create the VCD and burn it in nero, the VCD is upside down

Is this because of TMPGENC or NERO?

Did u play the VCD on ur computer before burning it?

                        Was it upside down?

                        Please tell me

                            1) Did your original .AVI play "right side up" on your PC?

                            2) Do the burned VCD CDs play "right side up" on your PC?
