I'm trying to convert videos captured with PowerVCR to Divx 4.12 ones.
I.e. files are coded as Mpeg2 video at 25 fps 44100 kHz audio.
I use Xmpeg for double passage compression.
Finally on my intentions I want to encode to Mp3 audio in a second round with VirtualDub.
The problem:
Audio is choppy if I say to Xmpeg to use the same sample rate (44100) as the original file and is mostly sync with the video but slightly higher tuned (played faster than the original file so to have constant holes).
If I try tho convert using a sample rate of 48000 kHz the audio is more correspondent to the original, less or no holes, but it's not synched to the video. Is like pulling a too shoort blanket! Either your feet or your head are uncovered!
What should i do?
Thanks!
