Broken Xvid File

Hi guys, this is my very first post so I hope it's in the right forum. Anyway, I downloaded a divx file (a legal one) but a few MegaBytes are missing from the end. I can't resume and I don't have the time to download again. When trying to play the file, after every change in scene the picture is all bendy and different colours - I'm sure you know what I mean. When opening in VirtualDub I get this error message:



Is there any way to fix this? It's only some of the end credits that are missing, so there is little point to download again.

Also, I'll tag this question on too. Is there any way to reencode 2 500Mb xvid files into 1 700Mb file?
