Audio Out of Synch

I have a div-x movie and about an hour into it, the sound gets out of synch with the video. There is a small skip in the video and the audio thus lags behind for about a split second. Is there anyway I can fix this? If anyone has any insight on this, it would be much appreciated!

Using virtualdub you could remove the "corrupt frame". Alternatively, split the file (sync, out of sync). Take the part from where the problem begins to the end of the movie and then under "frame rate" select "change framerate so that audio and video durations match" Ensure that both the "video" and "audio" are 'direct stream copy'
