    XVID expert please help

I've discovered that I like XVID over Ms mpeg 4 v3. Now I'm having an excrutiating time figuring out what is the best setting for encoding my backups.

I'm unfamiliar with most of the options Xvid offers.

I'm hoping that an expert can help.

Which settings are best for quality?
Which settings are best for limiting size?

        I too "discovered" Xvid.

At first it seemed to be an annoying attempt to copy the success of divX. Also appeared to be a pain to use an input file using xvid. But upon using this Xvid codec, I discovered great results in a number of projects.
