After using DVD Shrink to select part of a movie and re-authoring it, I have the complete DVD structure for that segment on my HDD. It has subtitles, which play when I open the IFO in PowerDVD. I want to convert this segment to DivX/XviD, and add the subtitles to the encoded AVI. I am using VirtualDub, with VobSub installed in the filters. The problem is that, although VobSub seems to detect the subtitles, they do not appear in the preview screen, nor are they there on the encoded AVI. I've followed several guides, to no avail. I am wondering if there is something about these subtitles that is not readable. I tried SubRip and was able to create an SRT of the complete subtitles, so I know they can be read, but for some reason VDub is not adding them to the AVI. Many thanks in advance for any advice.
