    Ey guys

    Im ripping platoon at the monent, it gets to about 30% then gives me the following error message:

    FLASKMPEG caused an invalid page fault in

    What does all this shit mean?? Is there a problem with the individual vob files?? I have tried to rip it with both 0.594 and 0.6 with no luck...

    Suggestions would be appreciated...

    Not even your good friends at Microsoft can tell you what this specifically means ;>}

    You've probably got a large block of bad frames. I'd suggest that you note at exactly which frame this happens. Then restart Flask 0.594, select "Open DVD" and click on "Flask this DVD". Select "Player" from under the "Run" dropdown menu. Click on "Play". Move the slider to a bit BEFORE the problem area and watch extremely carefully. What you observe may give you/us a clue as to the nature of the problem.

        The following assumes that you're creating DivX-compressed .AVIs.

        Yes. You can do it with Flask v.0.594 by doing two separate conversions (and then joining them using VirtualDub).

        Open Flask and select "Load DVD"
        For the first conversion, under "General" select 54300 FRAMES
        Under "Run", select "Start Conversion"
        Save as "Platoon1"

        For the second conversion, under "Run" select "Player"
        Click on "Play"
        Move slider to just past the corrupt frames
        When the slider is just where you want it, click on "Stop"
        Under "General", select "Entire File"
        Under "Run", select "Start Conversion"
        Save as "Platoon2"

        Open VirtualDub
        Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"
        Load "Platoon1.AVI"
        From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Append .AVI"
        Select "Platoon2.AVI"
        From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI"
        Enter a new filename (e.g. "PlatoonFinal.avi")

        If, in fact, you're creating MPEGs and not AVIs, you'd use TMPGEnc for the joining as follows:

        File>>MPEGTools>>Merge&Cut
        Set the mode to the correct MPEG format
        Load Platoon1.mpg
        Load Platoon2.mpg
        Enter a new filename (e.g. "PlatoonFinal.mpg") in the "Output" box
        Click on the "Run" radio button

        Let us know of your success ;>}

            have you tried Xmpeg?

            it's a modified version of flask(6.0 preview), and much better...
            I wonder why so few people know it, everybody's allways talking about flask, wich development has stopped months ago...

            if you select the yuv2 option it's also bloody fast..
