Hi,
I'm trying to encode cartoons, specifically an unlicensed anime called Naruto.
Per GSpot, the people releasing it are getting 6MB per minute at 23.976 FPS and 900Kbps.
In order for me to encode at 6MB per minute, I have to use 14 FPS and 160 Kbps. So I'm assuming my settings are all wrong.
Could you give me some ideas as to the optimal settings to maintain high quality with minimum distortion, yet keep the size under control for distribution purposes, around 6-7MB per minute?
Could I ask what may be a retarded question while I'm at it? Does the program I'm using to encode affect the compression, or is it just the codec and its settings?
Thanks!
