FlaskMPEG Problem

Hi

I have installed Windows twice now with same result.

I put the DivX and MP3 codec's in and virtualDub see them but when I go into Flask to render my DivX the MP3 Codec is not there for selection. They show in MultiMedia etc and to ad insult to this deal on the second install VirtualDub now has not MP3 Codec for selection in audio compression setting.

Any thoughts as to how I can get round this and fix it without trashing Windows for the third time please

you should try to move the codec's priority up. Go to the control panel, click on the "systems" icon, then the click "Sounds video and controller" , then "audio codec" (or video) and then click "properties", select the codec for which you want to change priority and click on the "properties" button. You'll see a priority button, click on that and change it to a lower number and then check to see if you can access it in flask.

If you have windows xp you'll have to slick "device manager" on the "hardware" tab after you open the "system" icon.
