A new version of this effective codec is out: version 2.2.7
It's very efficient and not quite succeeded.
For the pleasure, I have do a small test with just Virtualdub V1.6 in 720p 3.5 Mbps.
It makes many prepares in the setting of the Mpeg4 formats and "Mp4" (because this last is just a format container).
Don't hesitate especially to try it (attention for the HD playing, the processor is very solicited).
