AVI to Divx + simultaneous cropping

I've started capturing to MJPEG AVI using my Radeon AIW because I get no sound in MPEG2 (WinXP Pro incompatibility).

Once captured, I'd like to crop and encode the AVI to divx at the same time, rather than do one then the other. Xmpeg nor flaskmpeg accept AVI as source files. Is there anything else that can take AVI and crop it like Xmpeg/flaskmpeg?

Or is there an edit prog for AVI that can crop a file just as easily as doing the above?

Apply filter Null Transform and select Cropping, as outlined here:
