hi all, i have this avi file that has an ear-splitting high pitched noise in the background, and i thought if i could just encode the audio and modify it a bit, i could make the video bearable... the problem is, however, when i try to encode in vdubmod or any other program, it tells me to get the "required codec". i don't want to download a whole bunch of codecs and make a mess of my computer because i just formatted it yesterday. i've posted the file info in vdubmod... anyone know how what i need to encode the audio? thanks

ok i fixed the problem... i just downloaded the "divx audio compressor", installed it, and i could encode
as for the annoying noise, i converted the frequency to 48000 instead of 44100, with "high quality" checked, and it worked like a charm. thanksComment
