How can I do a multipass encoding ??

I have Divx and Xvid Codec, they both allow me to make One Pass (for analizing) and 2th pass to encode the movie based on the First pass that was done before .

what if I want to make 3 or 4 passes? How can I do it?

With XviD you dont need multipass encoding, its way smarter than DivX...

As it wouldnt give better results, XviD has no option to do more than 2 passes !!!

Have you problems with XviD's quantizer scaling, or why do you ask for this ???

I don't have any problems with Xvid

I just want to know how to do 3 passes ??? (with xvid or divx).

I have read somewhere in the web that 3 passes produce a little better video quality over 2 passes.

Are you trying to tell me that 3 passes was something that used to be done in the past and that today there is absolutely no need to do a 3 passes encoding ?

or you just not sure ?

Well, as this is the XviD forum, I thought you talk about multipass in XviD...

With XviD you cant do multipass encoding, simply coz there is no need !!!

But with todays DivX, its indeed possible to do multipass encoding...

For more info simply have a look @ the official DivX guide !!!
