Video and audio out of sync.HELP!

I am trying to encode a film (american beauty) and the video is out of sync with audio. The problem is getting bigger as the movie runs.I have selected 48.000Hz in output format options and global project options as well.Any ideas?

Assuming you're using virtualdub, you won't need to recompress the whole movie. Load your compress with default settings, change video to direct stream copy then go to video > framerate. If you're lucky, vd will know what rate to change it to (3rd radio button) - but this isn't always accurate. If that's the case you'll need to add or take away about 0.01fps and see how it effects it. Trial and error won't be too frustrating as a decent hard drive can stream out another copy in 1-2 minutes.

      Hi !!!

RASH here. Whatever encoder u r using....when u go to configure ( for ur DivX, the place where u enter the bitrate and all) just change the keyframe settings to '1' keyframe every second. This may solve the problem. And which audio codec r u using by the way ? Radium MP3 codec recently started giving me the same problem, so I switched to DivX Audio.

Share with us the settings that you are using for the film and we can all have a look and see where it has gone wrong.

No offence intended, but a divx's keyframes are not related to the audio/video sync
