    encoding avi files to vcd

    i'm using tmpg encoder to convert avi files to vcd conversion is ok but when I come to play them the movies are jerky. Anyone know what I could do to sort this out

    Make certain the sound is set to 44,100.

    Do the Cds burned as VCDs play "jerky" on your PC, or only on your TV using a standalone player?

      the video is jerky on both but is alot more noticeable on my standalone dvd player on tv

        Try, as I mentioned above, burning a VCD with audio at 44,100 instead of 48,000.

        Let us know if this yields more acceptable results on your standalone player ;>}
