    vob (5.1) -> ac3 (5.1) -> 6 mono wav files of each channels ???

    Hello to all...

    I am trying to extract audio from a vob file.

    What I have found up to now is a program called vobsnoop that looks to convert vob to ac3. A thing I am not sure about this program is I don't know if it actually downmix to a 2 channel ac3 file.

    I would like to keep the 5.1 information contain in the vob file and transfer it to ac3 5.1 file. Do I have the right program ? I think so... but I am not sure.

    Secondly, I would like to take that 5.1 ac3 file and extract each channels to 6 (5.1) independant mono wav file. It could also be 3 stereo wav files also.

    These wav file will serve for a remix I am trying to do in Sony Vegas wich can mix multi track audio and reencode in .ac3 5.1 format.

    All programs I have found up to now are always downmixing to 2 channels and the result I get is only 1 stereo wav file from an ac3 5.1 file.

    I have found another program called Azid which looks to do what I want but I still cannot get 6 independant wav files from my 5.1 ac3 file. Azid also render a single wav file.

    Which leads me to the first question, does vobsnoop downmix 5.1 to 2 channels ac3 files where Azid would only reder a stereo wav file ? Or did I miss the configuration of Azid ?

    In other words, what is the best way to extract ac3 5.1 audio from a vob file and convert the ac3 file to 6 independant wav file of each channels ?

    Use DVD Decrypter stream processing in IFO mode
    Select track and then select the 'Demux' radio button.
    The resultant AC3 file can then be processed by "besweet" (or similar) to convert to .WAV, .MP3, etc. format.

          I do this and the final result was a single file (AC3, 6 channels). How to get 6 independents mono files (I mean -In other words, what is the best way to extract ac3 5.1 audio from a vob file and convert the ac3 file to 6 independant wav file of each channels ? )

            DeDevil,

            You can do it with Besweet. Use Belight as the GUI for Besweet. In Belight, under Output Format, select WAV six mono waves.

                Never thought that the software you mentioned could ENCODE anything !!!! What exactly do you wish to accomplish ? BTW, Besweet accepts a vob file as such.

                        Download VOBInput.dll file and put it in the same folder as Besweet.

                            Did you download BELIGHT ? Belight is a much easier GUI for Besweet to follow.Download Belight ad put it also in the same folder as Besweet. I will then guide you . Download the stable release Belight 0.21.zip
