Hello to all...
I am trying to extract audio from a vob file.
What I have found up to now is a program called vobsnoop that looks to convert vob to ac3. A thing I am not sure about this program is I don't know if it actually downmix to a 2 channel ac3 file.
I would like to keep the 5.1 information contain in the vob file and transfer it to ac3 5.1 file. Do I have the right program ? I think so... but I am not sure.
Secondly, I would like to take that 5.1 ac3 file and extract each channels to 6 (5.1) independant mono wav file. It could also be 3 stereo wav files also.
These wav file will serve for a remix I am trying to do in Sony Vegas wich can mix multi track audio and reencode in .ac3 5.1 format.
All programs I have found up to now are always downmixing to 2 channels and the result I get is only 1 stereo wav file from an ac3 5.1 file.
I have found another program called Azid which looks to do what I want but I still cannot get 6 independant wav files from my 5.1 ac3 file. Azid also render a single wav file.
Which leads me to the first question, does vobsnoop downmix 5.1 to 2 channels ac3 files where Azid would only reder a stereo wav file ? Or did I miss the configuration of Azid ?
In other words, what is the best way to extract ac3 5.1 audio from a vob file and convert the ac3 file to 6 independant wav file of each channels ?
