    convert multiple avi's overnight

please help. i have a few avi films that i wont to convert to dvd format overnight. is there a program that will do this.
i am currently using "dvdsanta" which is an excellent program but when i put in multiple files, it makes the dvd files so that they will all fit on 1 dvd and i wont it to do them so i can put each one on a single dvd and not compressed.
    any help please

'tmpgenc mpeg encoder' can do this for you, if you use 'batch mode'.

doubt you will get much encoding done, as it takes a very long time to encode if you want decent quality.

Not exactly (Unless I'm thinking of a different program - but I doubt it) - That will only convert the .AVIs to DVD-compliant MPEG-2 format. It will not (as DVD Santa does) result in a ready-to-burn DVD "package" (.IFOs, .BUPs, .VOBs)...

yes, you are correct, setarip, but from then on, the files can be authored with a program of 'tommy50's choice (tmpgenc dvd author, dvdlab, etc). this will take relatively little time
