Which Audio codec is BETTER???

Hi guys,
I'm an italian boy. I have a little problem:
when I encode a DVD using DivX for audio, I notice that the sound is quite low for the speech and much higher for music and other effects. Is it better if I use Mp3 codec, rather than DivX Audio? Does Mp3 make a larger file size than DivX Audio?
If Mp3 is better, can you give me some links where I can download the codec???

PEASE HELP ME!!!
Thanks

MP3 audio is the safest bet for best sound. You can encode the sound at 128 Kbits and have GREAT results. Here is a link for the Radium MP3 codec:

Just install this program, and then use the MP3 codec at whatever bitrate you wish when you encode your movies.

Defently, use the MP3 radium codec, it rules!

The DIVX audio is not perfect, as it says in the title DIVX 3.11alpha (even if u r using DIVX 4 and 5 (which suck))

But use the Radium, u should have no probs with it.

You could also use the LAME encoder, which basically allows you you to encode MP3 tracks without using Virtualdub. And I find it faster than the latter method.

I thought the DiVX Audio Codec was a Radium MP3 (hacked) Codec anyway

I use neither the above, as I find the proper Fraunhofer MP3 Codec Pro gives the best stability and quality of all I've used.

Plus all the people having trouble with the above two I have spoken to have switched to mine and solved their prob's.

I've never had a sync problem with any movie I have made to date with this codec

The Radium is not hacked. The Radium provides faster and better encoding. The radium never has a problem with a/v synch

I believe the Radium codec is a hack of the Fraunhofer MP3 Codec, though I have no idea on whether it has any difference in quality or performance. I know only of the legality issue.

I was talking about the DiVX3 version that is a hack of the radium MP3, but yes the Radium is an optimized (hacked ) Franny MP3.

In the DIVX 3.11alpha codec, WMA was hacked but near perfect, hence the Alpha.

The DiVX3.11alpha.exe I use all those years ago (still got it ) came with a hacked MP3 codec also. I actually still like the DiVX audio codec.

Use which ever one suits u!

I love DIVX 3.11alpha with the Radium MP3 audio, it works like a charm for me! The need for speed!

Ok! Thanks,
but why using DivX Audio, the music or other effects are higher than voices??? In the DVD they have the same volume!!!
Is there any way to correct the problem (always using DivX Audio)???

Thanks Max

Select Normalize when you encode and this stops the audio peaking to high.
