NEW DVD to DivX5 GUI - supports 2-pass, 2 audio streams, 2 disc mode

    Hi there,

if you want to convert your DVD with only some clicks to DivX5 then you probably want to use my GUI for that.
    It supports:
    - 2 pass encoding
    - up to 2 audio streams in your DivX
    - 2 disc mode with 650, 700 and 800 MB support

all you need are some clicks and it does it for you

if the link should be down, mail me!

But can it rip a DVD to one CD without major loss of quality? I haven't done DVD rips and I am going to soon but I don't like DIVX 4 or 5. If DIVX 5 can rip a whole DVD on to one cd then I will change the way I do my encodings!

You should make yourself familiar with video compression first. if you invent a technique that makes you able to recompress a dvd to a single CD rom you'd be the richest man on earth before you can say "oh yeah"

It fits to one CD but MPEG is a compression based on loss of video information.
Give it a try and tell me about your efforts.

          Greets.

              You know a lot??? Ok.
What you didn't know is that divX is based in MPEG4??? You do know that a DVD is encoded using MPEG2???

              Of course you know!!!

              So try it!

                ??
                Yes, I know that!

What I am saying is that can DIVX 5 (MPEG4) rip a Whole DVD (MPEG2) on to 1 CD?

Can it do it like DIVX 3.11alpha?

                I don't think so!

                Just personal opinion

                  of course you can.
how it looks depends on the movie as well.

made some fixes. Try it out.
The fastest divX encoder I've ever seen.

                      Really? Faster than fast motion?

I am not trying to make trouble, I am just saying that DIVX 3.11alpha is the best for me and some people here.

                      But, everyone has opinions!

I'm afraid I have to agree with techno on this one=)
I've tried both DivX 3.11 and DivX 5 on the same movie at a couple of times. And 3.11 with nandub SBC encoding is better than DivX 5 in quality and their is not a big difference in speed.

Wanna try it on the same one? I would like to hear about that and some others too, I think

I ment that I tried out both on different movies. I've tried it on Planet of The Apes and a Swedish action movie that translated is The Bodygaurds. The quality get's a little bit worse with divx 5 and the calculation isn't completely correct. But the speed dosn't different much from each other.
There now you got my opinion.
