    Since I know that TMPGEnc is an excellent tool for converting .AVIs to MPEG, I have to ask you what you mean by bad results. Which MPEG format did you convert to (MPEG1, MPEG1-VideoCD, MPEG2, MPEG2-SuperVideoCD)? What settings did you use? What was the quality of the original .AVI file?

        "centre keep aspect racio"

        Change to "Center custom size" 352x288

        "high quality slow."

        Change to "Normal"

        "16,9 625 pal"

        Change to 4:3 PAL under both "Video" and "Advanced" tabs

        Let us know of your success ;>}

            hello again right tried it much better but it still gave some purple patches on dark scenes of 13 ghosts perhaps it is the film itself what i did to try and improve it was clicked on custom colour change and took the contrast down til the purple went a little but still leaving the picture a decent enough quality to watch thanks for helping chelly.
