    Problem copying DVD

I have got a DVD that has a film on it that was originally 8mm. To cut a long story short, the film has never been released on video so was put on to the DVD. I am trying to copy this DVD on my computer but can't seem to do it. I have tried twice, the first time on my laptop, every time I was asked to put in a blank disc, it was ejected. The second time, on my PC, a message just said it failed to Burn.

    Any help would be appreciated

first of all what software are you using to do the copy?

i'd just use nero's "copy disc" feature. click the help button, and it has a very simplistic guide on how to do it.

are you creating an image, or copying "on the fly".

            post your nero log

            c/program files/ahead/nero/nerohistory.log

the most recent is at the bottom.cut and paste it here.
burning at a slow speed like 2x or 4x is generally a good rule of thumb.

lol, it's a lot longer than that.it starts with your nero serial# copy everything from there down. don't worry, this forum auto-removes your serial#

that's because your copying all the logs in there. there are several stacked on top of each other. notice the times and dates on them. the most recent is at the very bottom. take your time and you will see what i mean.
