.VOB to .AVI

I need a simple solution to this... I've been all over the internet trying to find out how I can turn my .vob files in Adobe Premiere Pro-legal .avi files, but no luck. Trial programs either end up multiplying the size by 50 or don't even know what .vob is. WinAVI is the program I used to get the video off my VHS tape and turn it into 7 small .vob's.
