    bitrate in XviD1.0.3: 1024 or 1000?

    hi all,

    when encoding using XviD-1.0.3-20122004 the bitrate I choose is:

    1kb = 1024 or 1000?

    thanks.

    in computer file systems, 1 kilobyte = 1024 bytes

    in digital video/media (as in xvid), 1 kilobit = 1000 bits

    and 1 byte = 8 bits
