    Argghgh NeroVision

Total noob here who has searched everywhere to figure this problem out.

I'm trying to add Divx (.avi) files to a compilation that I'm going to burn as a DVD with menus. But during the transcoding process, I keep getting 'Xvidcore.dll not found'. But I do have this, both in my windows system folder and the Nero folder.

I found some other threads in other forums about tools that clean up the codecs, tried those and it didn't work. I followed one tutorial that told me how to register the codec and it still didn't work (several re-boots later, still doesn't work). I tried downloading some codec packs (xvid 1.1.0) adn still didn't work.

My only alternative is to use something to convert, but is there anything I can do to get nero to work with these avi's? I can view and edit them using Nerovision, but have had no success when it came down the transcoding to DVD.

    Any help is much appreciated.

You probably installed something after Nero that is interfering with it. Try uninstalling then Nero, and see if it doesn't solve the problem.

NeroVision never works to me and I try serveral times in several ways, al the end, I'd get EasyCd Creator 6.0 and woks perfect.
