hi Will. I have had similar problems I found a prog called sonic foundry soft encode.this created a 5.1 chan ac3 track from 1 wave file. However when played back the tempo was too fast.I have noticed other people complain of this prob.I tried besweet with belight.exe again the same prob occured how ever in the advanced tab you can drop the tempo to say -10 in belight.
this worked the track played back fine except I still only got 2 chan dolby.
so I then took this track I produced in belight with the tempo droped and ran it in sonic foundry soft encode and bingo brob solved 5.1 ac3 to my processor. If you have any prob finding sonic foundry soft encode feel free to contact me on msn or icq.
