Can a DV tape get ruined by being too close to PC??

Oh no! it seems I am plagued with problems. The mini DV that I looked at only yesterday is now seemingly ruined, and I haven’t touched it!! <o></o>
The DV now has coloured bars top bottom and middle, pink, green and pixilated. What could have caused this?<o></o>
    <o> </o>
It must be something magnetic I am guessing, seeing as the tape is magnetic. Could the camera being too close to my PC have done this?<o></o>
    Does any one know?<o></o>
    <o> </o>
    Thanks<o></o>

AFAIK its got nothing to do with the pc. if the pc's had powerful magnets in them, our hard disks wouldn't last a second

did you put it on top of say a very large speaker? i'm thinking maybe its got something to do with the temperature, or if the tape was left in the sun...

Hi thanks for your reply, I dont know what it was, I turned the camera off and left it for a bit, when I turned it back on the tape was fine! So it seems like it was just one of those strange gliches!

      Thanks
