Need help to make a DVD from avi's

I hope someone can help me. I have about 4.7GB of Pink Floyd concerts, interviews, awards etc that I would like to make into a DVD but need some advice first.

1 .I have two xvid avi's (2 halves of a concert) that I would like to join into 1 single file. What is the best software for this ?

2. I have another avi which I captured off the TV but the audio/video synch is about 2 secs out. How can I fix this?

3. I also have a divx file and an dvd iso file

From these files I would like to make a DVD with menus etc. I have used DVD LAB in the past but only with MPEG 2 files (VCD). What is the best method for me to make this DVD (it's just for my use not for sale) and also the best software?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you can do everything you want there with this guide and dvd shrink. even the audio correction if it's consistent as explained in the guide

the joining of the avi's is accomplished at the authoring stage (when they have been converted to mpeg-2), or another alternative is virtualdub (which i don't like because it's an extra uneccessary step if going to dvd format)

Hey thanks for the quick reply. I'm just going to check the thread out. I was thinking Virtual dub myself but if you state it's unecessary if using DVD Shrink then all the better

For all your authoring needs with avi files, you might wanna try out DIKO from this site, easy to use with menus and free.

your second question maybe can not be fixed as it's the problem with the original files. You need to tune up some settings when you make the files again from TV etc. And your other problems can be fixed fully by imtoo dvd creator. just one program is enough.

Thanks for all he help and advice its much appreciated. I can get my hands on http://www.aone-media.com/dvdcreator.htm Is this program any good? The only thing that concerns me is that there is no reference to creating a menu system.
